KPS Artemis is an efficient petabyte-scale data transport solution that uses devices designed to be secure to transfer large amounts of data. Artemis creates unique solutions for the common challenges of large-scale data transfers including high network costs, long transfer times, and security concerns. Artemis can be used to transport large video files,\u00a0migrate analytics data, create backups, and to archive libraries, Artemis drives are perfect for tape replacement systems or as a project migration application. Transferring data with Artemis is simple, fast, more secure, and can be as little as one-fifth the cost of transferring data via high-speed Internet.<\/span>With Artemis, you don\u2019t need to write any code or purchase any hardware to transfer your data. Once a job is created in the KPS\u00a0Management Console an Artemis storage device will be shipped to you. Once it arrives, attach the device to your local network, download and run the Artemis Client to establish a connection, and then use the Client to select the file directories that you want to transfer to the device. If you need help, a KPS media asset manager can assist you remotely. Once the transfer is complete and the device is ready to be shipped,\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Even with high-speed Internet connections, it can take months to transfer large amounts of data. For example, 100 terabytes of data will take more than 100 days to transfer over a dedicated 1 Gbps connection. That same transfer can be accomplished in less than one week, plus shipping time, using KPS Artemis devices.<\/span><\/p>\n
